How It Works
From Learner Licence to Road Test
Class 7 learner licence
Your teen passes the knowledge test at a registry to get a Class 7 licence. For the Basic course, they can start lessons first and pass the test during the course. We also offer Class 7 Knowledge Test Prep.
An approved course
Theory in class or online, plus one-on-one lessons in our car with a certified instructor. Your teen learns on real Edmonton roads.
Class 5 road test
After at least 12 months on a Class 7 licence, your teen can take the road test. The More on Road course gives more hours in the car before that test.

Online theory
Your teen can do the theory at home, at their own pace, then book the in-car lessons.

An approved course qualifies for a car insurance discount with most Alberta insurers.
Courses and Prices
Courses for New Drivers
- Basic - In Person Theory: 15 hours of theory and 10 hours in the car. From $495 CAD + GST.
- Basic - Online Theory: online theory and 10 hours in the car. From $545 CAD + GST.
- More on Road - In Person Theory: 15 hours of theory and 14 hours in the car. From $685 CAD + GST.
- Class 7 Knowledge Test Prep: $150 CAD + GST.

What Parents Ask Us
Does my teen need a car for lessons?
No. We bring the car for every in-car lesson, and your teen is picked up at no extra charge.
Can my teen start before the knowledge test?
Yes, for the Basic course. The knowledge test must be passed before the in-car hours are finished. For More on Road, a Class 7 licence is needed first.
My teen is nervous. Is that a problem?
No. Our instructors work at the student's pace and never rush. Many of our students start out nervous.
Can we ask for a female instructor?
Yes. Ask for a female instructor when you book online or when you call us.
